about.

I am a visual artist working at the intersection of photography, video and installation. My practice explores the passage of time, transformation, and the fragile relationship between human presence and the natural world. I am drawn to the subtle processes of change that unfold in nature throughout the year, the peculiarities of everyday life, abandoned places, and the poetry of ruins, in which I see beauty in the simultaneous presence of decay, disappearance and renewal.
Movement and discovery are important sources of nourishment for my practice. Travelling through landscapes and encountering forgotten or changing places provide me with both inspiration and source material. I do not approach decay solely as an endpoint, but as a continuous process in which destruction and the emergence of something new coexist.
Photography has been at the centre of my practice for over a decade, but in recent years I have increasingly created immersive installations combining cyanotype, video and sound. Since 2022, I have been consistently exploring the possibilities of cyanotype and its ability to transfer (photographic) imagery onto different materials and across varying scales. By experimenting with paper, fabric, glass, wood, plaster, as well as found and repurposed materials, I investigate the materiality of the image and its potential to engage with space.
Space is an important point of departure in my practice. I create installations in response to the architectural and material qualities of a specific site, incorporating existing traces, light and spatial changes into the work. I aim to create environments in which the viewer can slow down for a moment, immerse themselves in the space, and experience familiar surroundings from a different perspective.
I graduated from the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy with a degree in Multimedia in 2020. My recent exhibitions and projects include “The Earth Is No More for the Human Than the Flowerbed for the Flower” at Kastellaanimaja Gallery, Tallinn Literary Centre (2026), “Breath of Eternity” at Viljandi Dance Week (2026), “Fluid Luminance” at Viljandi Lights (2026), “How Did It Get So Dark So Suddenly” at the Hangar Institute, Põhjala Factory (2025), and “Fading as Mist” at ArtDepoo Gallery (2024–2025).
